Hill Farm House, Rose and Keith.

Created by Steve 3 months ago

Many years ago I started working as a gardener for Rose and Keith at Hill Farm House, I remember there was always a cup of coffee and a few biscuits before I even started any work, Rose at the time was still working herself, but there was always a plate of sandwiches for lunch in the conservatory waiting for me with a note of chores to be done.

When Rose retired we often worked together on various projects in the garden, she would tell me off if I didn't wear a hat in summer and if I was climbing too high on a ladder, but that was done with care in mind.

Then when the weather was nice we would have lunch on the lawn, one time I could not contain my laughter as Keith was told off for getting piccalilli on his nice clean shirt, it was a pleasure to work for you Rose.

One memory will remain forever when we experienced an eclipse at Hill Farm House, we just stood there in silence and awe, I can picture it now as I write.

Also a another funny moment was when I watched Rose trying to walk one of the cats on some sort of harness or lead, the cat did not like it.

Thanks for the memories Rose, you were a kind sweet lady, I will miss you, Steve Tanti
